As backup had been continuously failing, HCL decided to replace the tape drive.

Preparation

Coordinated the schedule with end-users, HCL team and Evernex.
Confirmed with Evernex for the work process and site location.

Plan / Procedure

Gracefully shut down the JPIBABOS01 and virtual servers in it.
Evernex engineer arrive at the office 17:30 and replace the tape drive.
Check the server and confirm with HCL if the tape drive is visible.
